Item
Inventory items (or simply "items") are purchasable effects that serve to alter how players can interact with Bang! Howdy. All Inventory items except the Gold pass can be purchased in-game, via either the general store or the train station. There are two general types of items: those that effect game play in matches, and those that enable features outside of matches. Most purchased Inventory items can be viewed in a player's inventory.
Contents
Match item
Match items are meant to lend an advantage during rounds to those who possess them. Some match items can be earned, as well as bought, by performing certain tasks.
Card
Main article: Card
The most common form of match item is the card. Up to three different cards may be brought into any match, where they can be played to instigate a certain effect. Cards may be purchased by type in packs of three for scrip, in randomly assorted packs of thirteen or fifty-two for scrip and gold, or earned by playing certain tutorials.
Pass
Passes are items that allow players to use units that are not otherwise available (referred to as "locked" units). Passes may be purchased for scrip and Gold coins, or earned along with certain badges. Once a player has possesion of a pass, the respective unit is "unlocked", and may be brought into in matches and used in practice sessions from the Ranch as the player desires. In some bounty and Tutorial rounds, players may be able to use locked units, regardless of whether or not they have unlocked that unit. Passes are as follows:

Extra-match item
Items that do not directly affect game play in matches serve to enable features that otherwise relate to Bang! Howdy. Such items are only available for Wranglers.
Purse
A purse grants its owner a scrip bonus after every match; this bonus is a percentage of the base scrip the player earns for match completion and placement. Each town has its own associated purse, and the purses must be purchased sequentially. Each purse replaces its predecessors—purses' effects do not stack. Purses are as follows:
Frontier Purse | ![]() |
Grants its owner an added 10% scrip at the end of a match | 1000 ![]() |
Indian Purse | ![]() |
Grants its owner an added 15% scrip at the end of a match | 2500 ![]() |
Deputy's star
Deputy's stars unlock Most wanted Bounties for the town in which they are purchased. Every Town has its own set of three Deputy's stars, which must be purchased in sequential order. Deputy's stars are as follows:
Frontier Town stars
Indian Trading Post Stars
Ticket

A ticket is an item that enables a player to access a town. Each town beyond Frontier Town has its own ticket. Currently, there is only one ticket in the game: the ticket to Indian Trading Post, which can be bought at the Frontier Town train station for 5000 scrip.
